Machete-Wielding Robber Stabs Man In Head, Shoulder, Hand In Pennsylvania: Police
A 40-year-old man was stabbed in the head, shoulder, and hand by a machete-wielding stranger who attempted to rob him on a Philadelphia street Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 7, police said.
The attack happened along the 2900 block of Mutter Street in the city's Fairhill neighborhood around 3:05 p.m., according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
Officers from the 25th District responded to reports of a stabbing and found the man suffering from three wounds — one to the top of his head, another to his left shoulder, and a third to his left hand, police said.

A confrontation between two men at a tobacco shop ended with one of them stabbed in the torso on Saturday morning, Sept. 26, authorities announced on Monday, Sept. 28.
Officers were called to Tobacco King at 3609 East Market Street in Springettsbury Township, York County, around 10:17 a.m., according to police.
The preliminary investigation found that the two men, who knew each other, became involved in a verbal altercation inside the store.

A suspect wanted for murder at a Long Island train station was captured in Pennsylvania and now faces charges in New York, authorities said.
Adrien Arocho, 24, of Bay Shore, NY, was arraigned Thursday, Sept. 17 in the killing of Yolandus Pratt, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said.
Arocho and a 17-year-old boy attacked Pratt at the Bay Shore Long Island Rail Road station around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, July 5, prosecutors said. Pratt, 34, also of Bay Shore, was found bleeding and unconscious at the scene by cops on patrol, according to authorities.

Matthew Almontes, 39, was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the Wednesday, Aug. 12, New Haven homicide, police said.
Tisha Marinoccio, 42, called New Haven police just after 3:30 p.m. to say Almontes had stabbed her before running out of her sixth-floor apartment with the knife, authorities said. Almontes also lived in the 358 Orange St. apartment building.
