Car Catches Fire on Taconic Parkway Exit Ramp In Kent A vehicle burst into flames on a Taconic State Parkway exit ramp in Putnam County, prompting a swift emergency response. The fire broke out around 11:12 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, on the southbound Exit 31B ramp in the Town of Kent, according to the Kent Volunteer Fire Department.  Kent's Fire Chief was first at the scene and confirmed the vehicle was actively on fire.
