Pennsylvania Targeted By $500K Retail Theft Ring That Hit 100-Plus Businesses: Police
More than $500,000 in merchandise. More than 100 businesses. Six suspects in custody. And Maryland investigators say they aren't finished yet.
The sprawling organized retail theft investigation began in Prince George's County in February 2025 before eventually stretching across Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Washington, DC, according to local police.

Raheem Akbar Shabazz Floyd, 38, who was on parole for a North Carolina murder conviction, and the boy's mother, Brianna Nichole Nolte-Maple, 32, were arrested in Harrisburg following an investigation into the child's extensive injuries on Friday, Aug. 7, according to the affidavit.

A 7-week-old baby girl suffered multiple serious injuries in an alleged assault that landed both of her parents behind bars in Philadelphia, police announced on Monday, Aug. 10.
Secret McCleve-Sar, 21, and Tyrone Jones, 22, both of the 2500 block of North Front Street, were apprehended on Sunday, Aug. 9, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

A 3-year-old child found dead inside a Pennsylvania home died from cocaine toxicity, and the death has been ruled a homicide, officials announced on Monday, Aug. 10.
The child was found dead inside a home on Columbia Avenue in Greenville on Saturday, June 27, according to Mercer County Coroner John A. Libonati.
A forensic autopsy was performed by forensic pathologist Todd Luckasevic on Monday, June 29, the coroner said.

A girl was airlifted to a hospital after a pickup truck struck her and her grandparents, killing the husband and wife as the family crossed a Pennsylvania street, authorities announced.
