Car Crashes Into Residence In Carmel A midday crash sent emergency crews rushing to a Putnam County neighborhood Tuesday, Aug. 12, after a vehicle slammed into a home. The Lake Carmel Fire Department said the incident happened around 12:05 p.m. on Tuesday. Firefighters quickly secured the scene and provided help to those involved.  Fortunately, firefighters reported only minor damage to the structure. No further details were released about the driver or possible injuries. The Town of Kent Police Department, Town of Kent EMS, and Medic 4 also helped in the response to the incident.

Bobcat Stolen From Construction Site In Beekman: Sheriff Looking For Culprits Authorities are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a stolen piece of heavy construction equipment taken from a Dutchess County worksite. The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said on Tuesday, Aug. 12, that the theft happened sometime between Thursday, July 17, and Thursday, July 31, in the Town of Beekman.  Investigators said the missing equipment is a white 2004 Bobcat S300 skid steer with product identification number #521512477.
